The charismatic leadership and his urge to move the people to the highest pedigrees of their chosen professional careers has started manifesting leading to the recognition given to the sons and daughters of Gombe State from every unit in the country.
The Gombe Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who despite the challenges of governance has said severally in different occasions that his administration is operating an “open door policy” where all the citizens can aspire to any level of human endeavors with his support, dedication and total commitment hence the state has started harvesting from the good policies and programes of the Governor.
It was on the light of this charismatic leadership, development and religious adherence of the good intentions of the hardworking Governor that some of the sons of the state were elevated in their various fields of human services.
For instance Barrister Mela Nunghe’ who is the current Commissioner for Special Duties under the Yahaya led administration was among 72 elevated into the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria ( SAN).
This elevation to the rank of SAN has confirmed the avowed commitment of Governor to continue to Support all the sons and daughters to reach the zenith of their chosen careers in overall interest of the good people of the state hence the wishes of a good father is to see his children progressing and distinguishing themselves both in academic, politics,economy and other human- endeavors.
The Governor who was excited over the elevation of his Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Mela Audu Nunghe to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN),urged others to follow the resounding tracks records of progress witnessed recently and to do better than them in their chosen careers.
It will be recalled that Barrister Nunghe is a consummate, industrious and purposeful barrister, solicitor as well as notary public with over 35 years of experience in civil, criminal and corporate practice.
Barrister Mela Nunghe incidentally was among the 72 Senior Lawyers awarded the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria ( SAN) by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohammed Tanko at the body’s 143rd plenary session.
This honour, no doubt, is a paintaking effort, hard-work, commitment and dedication which came barely a week after another Gombe illustrious son, Justice Adamu Jauro was sworn-in as the first Justice of the Supreme Court from the State, and less than one year since the establishment of a Court of Appeal Division in Gombe.
This development with support of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led- administration in the state has recorded unprecedented achievements by way of registering enviable presence in the judicial map of the nation hence kudos to the people’s Governor and his positive disposition and relentless efforts in pushing all sectors to enviable heights.
The Governor attributed the Barisiter Nunghe’s new feat to his outstanding pedigree, remarkable courtcraft, determination and dedication to the legal profession as well as his commitment to the pursuit of justice.
The Governor who observed that the award is a mark of recognition for members of the legal profession who have distinguished themselves, said with his elevation to the inner bar, Nunghe has written his name on the sands of history and joined the hall of fame as the first Gombe state indigene to have attained the exalted rank.
While noting that Barrister Nunghe has contributed a lot to the development of law in Nigeria through dint of hard-working and determination, Governor Yahaya commended him for replicating his sterling performance in Gombe state by making valuable and immense contribution as a member of the State Executive Council.
He said that the rank of SAN is an important one that carries with it some degree of privilege and influence, urging the SAN-designate to bring to bear his ingenuity, wealth of experience and vast legal knowledge as well as keep the Gombe flag flying high at the inner bar.
The Governor who expressed the support and solidarity of the government and people of Gombe state to the legal luminary in particular, and to all professionals and the citizenry in general to reach the pinnacle of their respective careers.
