
Gombe State Government has transported the first batch of 250 indigent students to 8 States within Northern Nigeria for the school Exchange Programme. The eight States include Plateau Benue Taraba Kaduna Kebbi Nasarawa, Sokoto and Kwara states.

Addressing the students before departure, the Commissioner of Education Dauda Batari Zambuk advise the students be of good moral behaviour while in their respective State of studies.

Represented by the Director Students Exchange Programme in the Ministry Audu Garba the Commissioner noted that the School Exchange Programme provides students from Gombe State and Northern Nigeria as a whole the opportunity to not only attain academic excellence but to cross fertiliser ideas, cultures, cuisine and above unity of purpose.

The Commissioner commended the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for shouldering the responsibility of transporting the students to various states across Northern Nigeria.

Dauda Batari Zambuk explains that that gesture has relief parents of the burden of transporting their children to various schools across the North for the School Exchange Program.
The Sole administrator Usman Mamman Kamara reveals that a total of 23 Gombe Line Buses have been assigned to transport the first batch of students to the 8 States.
Represented the Chief Driver of the Service Jauro A. Bello the sole administrator explains that the drivers of the State own Transport company have been given Orientation on how to maintain docurum and respect for the students while the journey lasted.
He commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his administrative dexterity towards the release of sound buses for the Exercise.
Earlier speaking on behalf of the parents of the students Ayuba Umar Mele thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for displaying leadership at a time when followers are in dire need of one.
He charge the students to justify the State Government gesture by been good ambassadors of Gombe State learning and character.
Ayuba Mele however appeal to the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to consider assisting students with stipend particularly at the point of been Transported back to the State capital as most of them ended up been stranded with no penny to transport themselves to their respective homes.
