Governor Inuwa bid farewell to Gombe Pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Charges them to be good Ambassadors of the State and country.

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has call on the State Pilgrims to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia to avoid all acts that will tarnish the image of the State and that of the country as a whole.

The Governor made the call in a farewell address to the Pilgrims numbering one thousand and nine at the headquarters of the Gombe State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Represented by the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa equally implore the Pilgrims to utilize the Pilgrimage to derive the spiritual and moral benefits of the noble religious duty.

“As you will recalled since 2019 when the devastating scourge of Coronavirus Pandamic every Muslim craves to accomplish this religious obligation. I therefore congratulate you for been among those that are previledge to undertake this spiritual voyage”.

The Governor added “As we all know the holy Pilgrimage is one of the holy pillars of Islam and Muslims who have the means and circumstances are required to perform the Hajj at least once in their lifetime”

He said as a spectacular annual event, it necessary to note that Hajj is a demonstration of Universal brotherhood and equality of the Ummah as it brings together millions from across the world for the purpose of worshipping Allah.

The Governor reminded the Pilgrims that the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are stringent and tough especially on those who are found wanting.

The chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and Emir of Dukku Abdulkadir Abubakar Rasheed thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for providing all the necessary support for the board to carry its preparations for the successful airlift of the State contingent to the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

In his remark, the Executive Secretary of the Board Alhaji Sa’ad commended the state government, scholars and the pilgrims for their understanding and support towards a hitch free 2022 Hajj operations

Earlier Islamic scholars to like Khadi Baba Liman, Sheikh Isa Taliyawa and Sheikh Adamu Dokoro admonished the intending Muslims Pilgrims to adhere to every instruction given to them in the interest peace and tranquility.
