The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with some bereaved families in Kaltungo.
The Secretary to the state government SSG Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi accompanied by top government functionaries and politicians delivered the Governor’s condolences messages to the respective affected families.
The Governor’s delegation first point of call was Kalorgu where they commiserated with the families of late Mama Mole Lede who passed on at the age of 87 Years and Late Mama Jummai Ali Mamman who also died at the age of 77years.
Delivering the condolence messages leader of the delegation Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi said Governor Yahaya was shocked on receiving the sad news of the departed elderly women whom he described as a collosal lost not only to their respective families but to their communities and the state.
Governor Yahaya describe the lost of a mother in a family as devastating however enjoined the bereaved to take solace in the fact the women lived good lives behind and Worthy children and grandchildren.
In their various response Mr. Maxwell Lede and Mallam Ali Mamman appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for identifying with them in their moment of grief as demonstrated by delegation sent to commiserate with them.
Receiving the delegation at his palace to condole him over the demise of the wife of the Magajin Kaltungo, the Mai Kaltungo Engineer Saleh Mohammed commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for always showing concern to every situation in the chiefdom.
Engineer Saleh Mohammed also encouraged all bereaved families to accept the fact God has already ordained that death remain the end of every mortal being.
Earlier the head of delegation Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi told the Mai how disturbed the Governor was on deceiving the sad news of the death of Maryam Ahmadu Umar.
The delegation later visited the husband and father of the deceased.
Members of the delegation include the Commissioner Higher Education and Supervising Commissioner Ministry of Information Mr. Meshach Audu Lauco, Permanent Secretaries Deputy Governor’s office Bala Mohammed Kaltungo and that of SSG’s office Mohammed Umar, APC starlwart Alhaji Buba Sharu, Special Advisers, Heads and members of boards and Commissions and Directors among others.
