In recognition of his giant strides in the educational sector particularly during his stewardship as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri Borno State, the Gona Emirate in Gombe state have conferred on the Secretary to the Gombe state government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi with a traditional title of “WAKILIN ILIMIN GONA”by the Lamido Gona Alhaji Umar Abdulkadir Abdussalam.
Presenting the letter of appointment to the Gombe SSG, the Ajiyan Gona Alhaji Abubakar Alkali Usman told the recipient that the honour was in recognition of his contribution to human capacity development both within formal and informal educational sub sector.
Alhaji Usman who stood in for the Emir of Gona, said the Emirate will continue to hold the Secretary to the Gombe state government in high esteem.
Responding the Secretary to the Gombe State Government thanked the Gona Emirate for the honour and promise to visit the Emir of Gona for further consultation on how he can further consolidate on gains of building the intellectual capacity of the people of Gona Emirate in particular and Gombe State in general.
It will be recalled that the Folo Dadiya had recently Confered on the SSG the traditional title of Kaigaman Dadiya in recognition of his Development strides to humanity.
