On the occasion of the one year Anniversary of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration let me use this auspicious moment to celebrate with the entire people of Gombe State. I wish to single out the sacrifice of my colleagues and supporters for believing in our LEADER AND GOVERNOR as he steered the ship of governance in the last one year.
In particular, I want to recognize all the members of the Executive Council, Our Special Advisers, Director Generals, Executive Secretaries, Chairmen of Boards and Commissions, Senior Special Assistants, and the Secretaries/Overseers of LGAs.
Your commitments, sacrifices and selfless efforts were greatly monumental and highly appreciated. I am highly indebted to you because you believed in us as we painstakingly unfold policies and programmes in keeping to our promises during electioneering campaigns.
Also worthy of RECOGNITION are our Party(APC) Leaders both at the State and National levels. Your genuine support, guidance and pieces of advice have helped to sharpen our decisions and focus. With this, we have understood the the real meaning and importance of the saying that, THE WORDS OF ELDERS ARE WORDS OF WISDOM.
Let me recognize the roles of Our Civil Servants for their doggedness and commitment to duty despite the difficulties. I humbly wish to restate our pledge to deliver on our promises to provide dividends of democracy to our people. Permit to also appreciate our Traditional Leaders and their institutions. Your fatherly support,encouragements and prayers are indelible and have been an inspiration to the Government.
Let me use this momentous occasion to recognize and appreciate our Women/Mothers and Youths. Your genuine goodwill and prayers have helped in no small measure to consolidate our efforts and commitment to providing Services to HUMANITY. I wish to note and appreciate the outstanding support and understanding we have been receiving from the other tiers of government. The support and sacrifice of the State House of Assembly were unprecedented and uncommon in our history.
The House leadership has exhibited uncommon love for the State by supporting the Government in whichever way possible. The State Judiciary is both special and unique in its strategic support to the Government in the one year of its existence. I have not seen anything like this, because the Judiciary sees governance as everybody’s business.The Heads of Security Agencies and other Institutions are honestly appreciated for your accommodation and support. Your sacrifice did not go unnoticed.
Let me acknowledge the love and care of our Religious Community. Permit me to particularly appreciate and thank all our Development Partners. Your sustained belief in us and accepting to partner with us has been the inspiration for our continued desire and resolve to succeed. I want to appreciate all and sundry,particularly, our family members, friends and well wishers, at home and in the diaspora, for your innovative guidance, understanding and support as Government tries to mitigate the daunting issues of poverty and underdevelopment and very recently, the onslaught of the dreadful COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Permit me to put on record the unprecedented and uncommon support we have received from the MEDIA at all levels. The Media coverage we have received and enjoyed remains indelible and monumental in our collective resolve to serve HUMANITY. I plead with all our good people of Gombe State to have faith in us and our ability to deliver the good as promised. Together we shall CONQUER!. All hands MUST be on deck!!.
