Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has given out in marriage Sa’adatu Umar Ibrahim the Daughter of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Gombe State hand in marriage to Mohammed Mamood Jada.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Gombe State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi at the wedding Fatihah that took place at Jalingo, Taraba State, Governor Yahaya urged the couple to imbibe the spirit of Patience, tolerance and love at all times, for their marriage to be Successful.
He said the relationship between Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and that of Wazirin Muri is a long standing one, and that is why, the Governor felt the wedding can not be contracted without him.
“As you can see, when I came in here, the father who is suppose to have been the one to give out the Daughter in marriage had to allow His Excellency through me to take that role as the father. That is to tell you the level of the relationship”.He said.
The wedding Fatihah was contracted after the Payment of fifety thousand naira dowry by the Groom’s parents.
The resident Electoral Commissioner for Gombe State and father of the bride, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim thanked Governor Mohammadu Inuwa Yahaya and other well wishers who came to rejoice with them at their joyous moment.
On the SSG’s entourage are; the commissioner for solid minerals development, Alhaji Shehu Ibrahim Madugu, Special adviser to the Governor on community relations and ethical orientation, Auwal Abdullahi among others.
