The Executive chairman Gombe State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB Hon. Babaji Babadidi has expressed satisfaction with the covid-19 safety protocols and the turn out of both teachers and students in Schools within Gombe metropolis.
Hon. Babaji Babadidi stated this when he led some staffs of the Board to monitor Schools Resumption for exiting students of Primary six, J.S.S 3 and S.S 3 as directed by Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya.
He applauded the covid-19 safety measures put in place by some Schools visited in Gombe metropolis saying the quality assurance department of the Board will continue to monitor these protocols for continuity.
The Gombe SUBEB chairman said the monitoring of School Resumption is simultaneously carried out in all Local Government areas of the State assuring that the exercise will be an ongoing one.
Hon. Babaji Babadidi assured parents that the State Government has done everything necessary to ensure the safety of the resuming students but however added that parents also have a role to play in safeguarding the health of their children by encouraging them to constantly wash their hands.
He said the Gombe State Government through the State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB has also made provision of Schools furnitures to ensure physical distancing which is one of the covid-19 safety protocols.
Hon. Babaji Babadidi who reiterated Government commitment to the Education sector, said the Inuwa Yahaya’s administration will continue to develop the art of teaching and learning in the State for the overall benefit of the up coming generation.
It will be recalled that Schools in Gombe State and the country in general were abruptly shut down due to the Coronavirus Pandamic.
