Igbo pays solidarity visit to Ezeigbo Kaltungo Chief Sabastine Uchenna KSM in his palace. By Ben Ngwakwe,Gombe.

On 31st October,2020 the President-General of Igbo Community Welfare Association Gombe with his Executive members, Sir Ben Aronu along with the Special Adviser on Inter-Community Relations, Prince Chidebelu Cornelius Ewuzie paid a “thank you” visit to Ezeigbo Kaltungo, His Highness, Chief Sabastine Uchenna KSM.
The current two leaders sought for cooperation and understanding of Chief Sabastine Uchenna in tackling ezeship tussle in Gombe, the state capital.
Sir Ben Aronu lamented the efforts his administration made in handling the issues amicably and brotherly in order not to hamper the peace and happiness the states have enjoyed over the years but the contending factors have failed to listen to wise decision and appeals made to follow the appropriate channel of communication in resolving the issues in contention.
The President-General further appealed to the Ezeigbo of Kaltungo, Chief Sabastine Uchenna as a “father of all” in Gombe State to intervene and use his highly respected good office to call Chief Patrick Agbo who is parading himself as the traditional ruler of Ezeigbo Gombe to order in other to avoid scattering the fraternity of Ndigbo Gombe on tribal and ethnic political upheaval in the state.
Sir Aronu also disclosed that they have told the Chairman Chief Patrick Agbo who serves as Secretary, treasurer and Chairman to conduct election for various positions and to use the Igbo Community Welfare Association official Hall for their meetings which was not adhere to as of today 31st October,
Also Speaking , the SA to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on Inter-Community Relations Prince C.C. Ewuzie said that as an “elder in Gombe”, he would not allow a goat to born with rope on its neck.
SA advocated that any body who wants to the Ezeigbo Gombe should first and foremost, obtain a chieftaincy title from his village to avoid money bags using backdoors to climb the ezeship of Igbo Community in Gombe town.
Although, efforts to speak with the emblatted Acting Chairman, Chief Patrick Agbo who is the current Chairman of Igbo Council of Chiefs was not successful but His Highness, Chief Sabastine Uchenna promised to intervene to resolve the lingering issues and expressed appreciation to the Igbo Community Welfare Association Gombe for the honour done to him and council members.
