Government is not unmindful of your concern for progressive development, Gombe SSG tells TEPU.

The Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has told the Tangale East Progressive Union TEPU that the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is not unmindful of their concerns for progressive development in the area the Union represents.

Professor Njodi stated this when he granted audience to Executive members of the union led by its National President Professor Nibron Manjak.

The SSG said the State Government is making concerted efforts towards compensating land owners whose property were affected by the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo.

He therefore call for calm and understanding among the sons and daughters of Tangale East Progressive Union TEPU which comprises of the Tangale speaking people of Kaltungo, Shongom and Ture.

“Government quiet appreciates your visit to share and compare note and we shall continue to work in synergy towards addressing the challenges which you have just enumerated to include compensation of land owners, whose property were affected by the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo and the consideration for construction of the Kaltungo/Shongom/Lapan road”.

He enjoined the Union not always focus on political office appointees but elective office holders as well saying like the electorates, the appointees equally has a stake on who is elected to represent their interest.

Earlier speaking the National President Tangale East Progressive Union TEPU Professor Nibron Manjak said the union was in the SSG’s to intimate the Gombe Government on concern raised by the community particularly those whose property were affected by the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo on the need for compensation.

He however commended the Federal Government for establishing the Federal Polytechnic and the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for creating an enabling environment for the smooth take off the institution and for appointing sons and daughters of Kaltungo/Shongom Local into positions of authority.
