
Gombe state Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with Dukku Emirate and the entire people of Dukku local government area over the demise of the widow of the late Emir of Dukku, Hajiya Hajarah Rasheed who died recently at the age of 89 after a protracted illness.

The Governor, in a message of condolence delivered by a delegation led by the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Habu Dahiru also consoled with the Emir of Dukku, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulkadir Haruna Rasheed II, former first lady of Gombe State, Hajiya Aishatu Abubakar Hashidu, the Chiroman Dukku Engr Yakubu Hashidu and their other siblings as well as the entire members of Rasheed royal family over the death of their matriarch.
Governor Yahaya lamented that although the late Hajiya Hajarah died at a time her elderly and motherly counsel and wisdom were needed by her children, grand children and those around her, “We must take solace in the fact that she had lived to witness the growth and accomplishments of her children and left, through them, a lasting legacy which we would continue to cherish”.
He conveyed the condolences of the government and people of Gombe State over the sad event and prayed Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.
