The United Nations Development Programme UNDP Chief Economist Dr Amarakoon Bandara have Commended the State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for institutionalising frameworks that drive sustainable development in critical areas of human endeavours.
Dr. Amarakoon Bandara equally appreciated the State Government for hosting the UNDP team on a two day working visit where discussions were held with relevant stakeholders in the manufacturing sector.
Dr. Amarakoon was speaking when he visited the Secretary to the State Government to de-brief him on their two day working visit preparatory to the take-off of the Innovation hub.
He express UNDP readiness to facilitate and Support the successful implementation of the Acceleration Innovation zonal hub in Gombe State.
Bandara thanked the state Government for providing them with an office accomodation for the take of the North East SDG’S Hub in the state.
On his part the secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi expressed appreciation to the UNDP Chief and his team for choosing Gombe State as the Acceleration Innovation Hub of the North East Sub-Region.
He assured the UNDP team of the State Government Support towards the smooth implementation of the Hub in the State for the benefit of the people.
