
As Kaltungo Elders Commend Gov Yahaya’s Developmental stride.
The Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has advocated for the restructuring of Kaltungo Community School of Management Technology Studies formerly known as Kaltungo Training Institute (KTI) to better prepare candidates into tertiary institutions across the Country.

Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi gave the advice when he received in audience Chairman of Tangale – East Elders Council and Board Members of the institution in his office on Tuesday. He noted that, with the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo, effort should be channeled towards preparing prospective candidates for admission into various Courses.

The SSG said, considering the rich history of the institution which came into existence in 1980, the institution boost of a considerable site with adequate infrastructure and equipment to cater for the need of its staff and students.

Njodi explained that the presence of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo is an added advantage to Educational advancement of the people of the area , calling for concerted effort to sustain the Community School of Management and Technology Studies.
He further appreciated the peaceful conduct of the People affected by the Permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic for cooperating with the State Government during the compensation exercise assuring those with genuine complaints that they will be given a listening ears.

Professor Njodi informed the delegation that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has demonstrated unwavering Commitment to the campaign Promises he made to the People citing the remodeling of Government Science Secondary School Kaltungo, remodelling of the General Hospital Kaltungo and Creating the Conducive environment for the take off of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo which is expected to commence academic activities this year.
In a remark, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Meshak Audu Lauco said efforts should be intensify towards searching for a Permanent site as the State Government has perfected plans to move Government Girls Secondary School Kaltungo to Model School when the Polytechnic moves to it’s Permanent site. This according to the Commissioner for the ever growing College of Health and Technology Kaltungo which requires additional space.
In their Submission, the Chairman Tangale – East Elders Council Major Peter Yazu retired and Professor Salisu Ali Rakum appreciated the priority been accorded to the area by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led administration in the areas of appointment and infrastructural development.
They also explain that the visit was basically to consult with Government on the needs to profar alternative site for the Kaltungo Community School of Management Technology Studies formerly KTI Overtaken by the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo to ensure it’s sustenability in view of it’s legacy towards the enhancement of Education opportunities for the People.
Mr. Ibrahim Alewa, Hajiya Halima Shamaki and Yakubu Barau all appealed for Government intervention to the preserve the School.
