The Mai Kaltungo Engineer Saleh Mohammed has described Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as one leader who never derail in fulfilling the promises he made to the people.
Engineer Saleh Mohammed stated this when officials of the SDG’s and Gombe State Government paid him a courtesy visit in his palace after an assessment tour of facilities at the Snakebite Hospital preparatory to its upgrade to the status of a research centre.
He express optimism that with the purpose driven leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya coupled with the team’s assessment of facilities at the Snakebite hospital Kaltungo the coast is now clear for the realization of the upgrade.
According to the royal father “Successive administrations have promised but failed. I am confident that our able Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya would make our dream come true, he is one leader that is up and doing, once he said he would do something he would definitely ensure it is done, we are proud of his leadership style”
He thanked the Governor and the Federal Government for coming to aid of the Snakebite Victims who are mostly poor farmers saying the special intervention through the SDG’s will go a long way towards the production of anti venom, thereby reducing death rates as a result of Snakebite.
Engineer Saleh Mohammed said at the moment, the Hospital receives patients from 8 States of the country and as far as the neighbouring Cameroon for treatment.
Earlier speaking leader of the delegation Architech Idris Bawa said they were in Kaltungo following requests by the Governor for special intervention by the SDG’s to remodel and upgrade the Snakebite Hospital to a research centre in other to alleviate the suffering of the common people who are mostly affected by cases of Snakebite.
Idris said the design has been made and assessment carried on the hospital to fully appreciate what is needed in terms of structures and equipment assuring that work on the project will soon commenced.
The team who were at the Hospital with the structural design also went round to see for themselves patients of Snakebite where they empathize with them.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDG’s Bashir Tukur took the visiting team round the Hospital along side the Director Hospital Service Dr. James Mahdi assuring them of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya determination in improving the Health Sector in the State.
