Gombe @25: Professor Njodi Congratulates Citizens.

As Gombe State mark its Silver Jubilee, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi joins well meaning Nigerians in Congratulating the good people of Gombe State for the journey so far.

In a message, the SSG says at 25 the State has every reason to celebrate considering the tremendous achievements recorded in the course of the journey.”At 25, the journey has been impressive in terms of physical and economic development. I still must salute the sacrifice of our founding fathers, our past and present leaders and the entire citizens for all their steadfastness and contribution towards nurturing the State to where it is today”

Professor Njodi equally pays tribute to Amb. Yerima Abdullahi, the Late Usman Faruk (Jarman Gombe), Emir of Gombe, Late Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, the Former Governor of Gombe State, Late Abubakar Habu Hashidu and the Late Gen. Timothy Shelpidi for their role foresight which eventually led to the creation of Gombe State in 1996 by the then Head of State, General Sani Abacha of blessed memory.

To the past Governors of the State which include; Group Captain Joseph Orji (Rtd), Late Colonel Mohammed Inuwa Bawa, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje and Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, the good people of Gombe State will forever remain grateful for their tireless efforts and commitment to the development of Gombe State.

While Gombe State remains a progressive State among its peers, the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is no doubt making effort to take the State to greater heights considering his policies and programmes such as Network Eleven Hundred, 3G Program, the Ten Year Development Plan and his unwavering commitment to make Gombe an industrial hub of the North-East through the award of Contract for the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park which would boost the economic viability of the State as well as create job opportunities to the teeming youths of the State,

The Gombe SSG observed that other areas that are receiving Government’s attention include Health, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Education sectors.

Professor Njodi appeals to the good people of Gombe State to accord the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya the much needed support just as he set a new face of development of the State.

Long Live Gombe State @25

Long Live Nigeria @61
