The Kaltungo Township Stadium was fill to the brim when thousands of APC supporters and well wishers besieged the sporting facility to show solidarity to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his incredible and exceptional leadership qualities in piloting the affairs of the State in the last 3 years.
Tagged “Inuwa Alheri”, the solidarity rally is fashion towards showcasing the giant strides of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the area of health, education, Agriculture, human capital development and economic emancipation.
Convener of the rally and Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi explains that the political convergence becomes necessary not only to show solidarity to the Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administrative acumen but to garner support and loyalty to his administration.
Professor Njodi described the numerical strength of the APC in Gombe South Senatorial district as overwhelming and therefore called on the party’s supporters in Kaltungo Local Government Area and the entire Gombe South not to give heed to clandestine political merchants who are always bent on satisfying their personal greed.
“As for the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya i think his performance in the last three years is there for everyone to see. Of a truth there is no gain saying the fact that the Governor has not substantially fulfilled all his campaign promises”.
He observed that the numerical appearance at solidarity rally has demystify the erroneous notion been harbour in some quarters that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa has no reasonable political fan base in Gombe South Senatorial district.
“I think today’s solidarity rally should be able to put to rest the imaginary feeling some few individuals have that Governor Inuwa Yahaya is losing ground in Gombe south, with this gathering for Kaltungo alone i think the mic has just been tested”.
Professor Njodi use the occasion to thank APC stakeholders and supporters in Kaltungo for staying true to the party assuring them that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya remains committed to fulfilling all his campaign promises.
The majority leader in the Gombe State House of Assembly Hon. Yerima Ladan Gaule thanked Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi for organising the rally to project the political ideology and achievements of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the last three years in office.
Hon. Gaule who spoke on behalf of some Federal and State lawmakers representing the interest of Kaltungo in the National and State Assembly pledge their support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as he plans to return for a second term in office in 2023.
The State Commissioner of Information Hon. Julius Ishaya Lapes praised the political sagacity of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya towards the construction of the dreaded Tula Yiri road and Renovation and Expansion of the Kaltungo General hospital.
He assured the Governor that, the people of Kaltungo Local Government Area will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with his administration quest to leave Gombe better than he met it.
Also lending her voice to the solidarity rally the Commissioner of Women affairs Naomi J.J Awak noted that Kaltungo Local Government Area and the entire Gombe south has never had it this good especially with the provision of live changing policies and programmes by the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Other who spoke at the event includes; representatives of women, youth, elders as well as market association of Kaltungo Local Government Area assured of their total support to the Governor and Commended the SSG for organizing the solidarity Rally.
The event also witnessed the receiving of some decampees from other political parties to the ruling APC.
