
The Secretary to the state Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has expressed confidence in the ability of Nigerian youths to turn around the fortunes of the country.
Professor Ibrahim Njodi gave the assertion when he received “Icon of intergrity award” from the NYSC Anti Corruption CD group in recogition of his contributions to development and mentorship of youths for the betterment of Nigeria’s future.

Professor Njodi expressed joy seeing how young people engaged in the fight against corruption which he noted has negatively affected the development of the country.
The SSG also recalled with nostalgia his school days when things were good and education was virtually free to all and sundry.

He however expressed optimism that with the activities of Corps members targeting the Youths things will be better for the country.
While encouraging them not to relent even after their service year, the SSG assured them of continued support.
Professor Njodi appreciated the group for the recognition and dedicated the award to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for identifying and picking him from the University of Maiduguri to serve as Secretary to Gombe State Government , his family and staff for their support.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Anti Corruption NYSC CD group nationwide, Umar Ahmed serving in Jigawa State said the choice of Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi for the award was informed by his track record while serving as Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri and his current position describing him as courageous, transparent, and committed adminitrator.
Umar Ahmed also appealed to Proffessor Njodi to continue with his youth mentorship which has given directions to many especially students.
Present at the award presentation are Special Adviser on Rural Development Muhammed Shetima, Directors in the office of the SSG and Deputy State Auditor General Wilson Yahaya.
