The secretary to Gombe State Government SSG Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi was in Maiduguri Borno state weekend where he handed the hand of Sakina Abdullahi Bala Alhassan Daughter to his close ally Professor Abdullahi Bala Alhassan of the University of Maiduguri in marriage.
The wedding ritual which took place at Seven Division bypass Pompomari quaters Maiduguri, Borno State was consummated after the payment of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) dowry by the groom’s representative.
Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who stood in for the bride Sakina admonished the couple to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, love, fidelity above all not to allow third party interference while their marriage last.
He congratulated both the couple and their parents for the success of the event and prayed Allah to bless the marriage.
Father to the bride Professor Abdullahi Bala Alhassan who was visibly elated thanked the SSG Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi and hundreds of well wishers who came from far and wide to share in their moment of joy.
Professor Alhassan also noted that he will not take their show of love for granted praying God to reward and grant them journey mercies back home .
The well attended wedding fatiha attracted personalities within and outside the state.
