
The State Head of Civil Service Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya has task the staffs of Local Government Pension Board to Internalise the principles of effective record keeping and management.
Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya who gave the charge at the openning of a one day in house capacity building training organised by the board also reminded them of the need for secrecy in handling government sensitive documents.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary General Administration, Mr.Iranus Mamman, the head of Service commended the initiative of the Board and Management in updating staff knowledge for optimal productivity.
He noted where coventional training in institutions are becoming expensive such initiatives can fill the gap.
The head of civil service further enjoined the participants to take advantage of the training opportunity to improve on their performance.
In his remark, the Executive Secretary Local Government Pension Board, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad explained that the decision to organise the workshop was informed by the need to update staff capacity which is in tandem with Governor Inuwa Yahaya adminitration’s desire towards ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.
The Executive Secretary added that the training whose thematic areas include Documents filing and management, Appreciation of Pension and gratuity computation, and Computer applicationin in Pension adminitration is expected to equip the staff on modern record keeping techniques.
Papers were presented on Importance of record keeping and file processing in management, Comprenhensive checklist for effective computing of Pension and Gratuity and Introduction to Computer Skills.
