Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company GIPDC in collaboration with Security and Exchange Commission SEC has organised a program tagged Investors Clinic for all shareholders who have problems with their dividends and shares in order to profer solutions to them.
The clinic is also aimed at enlightening shareholders in Gombe State to
help review cases of people who have not obtained their dividends in the last years.
Declaring the ceremony open at the conference Hall of the Investment House, the Managing Director Gombe State Investment Property Development Company Faruk Ma’wuya noted that the program will help regain the confidence of the people in the stock market and win people back to the business of stock trading.
He call on the citizens of Gombe State especially those with cases of shares to take advantage and regained back their shares which has been stagnant because of their in ability to key into E-dividend to activate their shares Account and enjoy their dividend.
In his remarks, the Director General Security and Exchange commission SEC Lamido Yuguda said they were in the State to enlightened people and to make sure they no how to claim any unclaimed dividend of theirs.
” Today we have what we call electric dividend mandate , the dividend are not paid through warrant but by electronic transfers, so team from SEC are here to enlightened people about the process and to make sure they identify what amount standing today in their credit in the capital market that they were not be able to access”
Participants are optimistic that the programme will
Profer solutions to the challenges they faced and be able to get their dividends which have been stagnant for some years now.
The programme being the first of kind in the North East sub region in the country,is to also facilitate understanding between shareholders and the investment
