Earlier today, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State was in Kaduna, where he attended the wedding fatiha of Abubakar Haruna Garba ( Waleed), Son of elder statesman, Sen. Haruna Garba ( Magayakin Gombe).
The wedding fatiha between Abubakar Haruna Garba and Dr. Aishatu Idris Saidu took place at Al-Mannar Mosque, Unguwar Rimi.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya stood in as the Wakeel for the groom and received the marriage on his behalf while Alhaji Yakubu Sarkin Yakin Bauchi served as Waliy and gave out the bride on behalf of the family of Alhaji Babayo Saidu Gumau ( Sardaunan Wunti) after the payment of 100, 000 Naira dowry in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ( SAW).
The Chief Imam of Al-mannar mosque, Sheikh Mohammed Tukur Abdullahi, presided over the wedding and contracted the marriage between Abubakar and Aisha
in line with Islamic injunctions.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including the Chief of Staff Government House, Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari who accompanied his principal, the Executive Secretary of National Lottery Trust Fund, Dr. Bello Maigari, Retired Federal Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Jalo Daudu, Alh. Abdulkadir Hamma- Saleh, Hon. Hamza Wuro- Bokki, Commissioner of Environment, Shehu Ibrahim Madugu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget Planning and Development Partners Coordination, Dr. Ishiyaku Mohammed as well as other guests, friends, associates and family members from the two sides.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya had in a message of felicitation, admonished the couple to put Almighty Allah first in their affairs, build their marriage on trust, patience and respect to one another as well as remain prayerful at all time.
He congratulated Sen. Haruna Garba and his family as well as the new couple for witnessing this auspicious occasion, praying Almighty Allah to bless the marriage.
