
….As council for community leaders honour Gombe Governor, others.
Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has stressed the need for communities in the state to jealously guard and sustain the relative peace that made the state unique in the country.

Speaking at an almanac launch and Award presentation to some personalities in the state by the Council of Community Leaders at the College of Nursing and Midwifery Gombe, the Governor said the state has remain a reference point in the country in terms of Social Intergration, religious tolerance and cohesion thereby providing the enabling enviroment for all to thrive in their chosen endeavours.

Represented by the Special Adviser on Strategy and Information management Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu Gara, the Governor re-assured residents of the state of equity, fairness and justice irrespective of tribe, religion or region maintaining that developing state the remain the task of all and sundry.

The Governor further lauded the contributions of non indigenous communities resident in the state and charged them to remain law abiding, focused as they conduct their lawful trades, businesses, studies and national assignments in the state.
The Guest Speaker at Occassion, and Secretary to Gombe State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi harps for Unity among the various Communities in the state so that people can reap the advantages of Nigeria’s diversity.

According to Professor Njodi whose paper was presented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Strategy and Information Management Ahmed Shuaibu Gara noted that without unity, Social Justice, tolerance for one another the quest for the countries intergration will remain only but a dream.
Professor Ibrahim Njodi therefore encourage the council to redouble their support to the government and leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as the 2023 election comes closer to ensure continuity.
The SSG further commended organisers of event for enthroning unity in diversity in the state saying the differences in tribe, religion, culture, political affliation and social orientations should serve as blessings rather than hurdles to the country’s development.
The chairman of the occassion, Ambassador Ibrahim Yerima Abdullahi says he feels delight to be part of the history making event calling on communities in other states to emulate initiative.
In his remark, the President of the council of community leaders, Mr, Monday David Ngwana said the council was established with aim of cultivating unity and giving members a platform and voice to pursue common interest as well as contribute to the developmemt of the state.
The occassion featured presentation of Exellent Leadership Awards to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, his Deputy, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, SSG, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Chief of Staff Goverment House, Inuwa Kari and Ambassador Ibrahim Yerima Abdullahi among others.
