Governor Inuwa Restates Commitment To Push For Oil Exploitation In Kolmani Area.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya assured that his administration will not relent in pushing for the actualisation of exploitation of the already discovered oil in Kolmani area of Pindiga Emirate of Gombe State.

Governor Inuwa stated this at a civic reception organised in honour of the retired Acting Chief Judge of Gombe State, Hon. Justice Muazu Abdulkadir Pindiga, held at Pindiga, Akko local government area.

He explained that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC through the Frontier Exploration Division of the agency has injected a lot of resources and that a significant quantity of oil that is commercially viable, to the tune of over 6 billion barrels, has been found in the Kolmani area.

He said he had on several occasions visited the corporate headquarters of the NNPC and also met with President Muhammadu Buhari to interface with them on how best the state can benefit from the oil and gas deposits in the state.

He however, noted that “But for the economic crunch experienced lately, occasioned by Covid-19, the Federal Government had concluded plans to begin the exploitation of the over 6 billion barrels of crude oil in the area; but I assure you this will happen, and I am committed to seeing to that”.

During the occasion, Governor Inuwa tasked the immediate past Acting Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Muazu Pindiga not to jettison his fine and exceptional characters that distinguish him as a forthright judge in the temple of justice.

The Governor expressed optimism that the retirement of Justice Muazu Pindiga will further provide opportunity for him to continue doing more for the good of his immediate community of Pindiga, the State and the Country as a whole.

The Governor thanked the people of Pindiga Emirate for their steadfastness in supporting his administration’s policies and programmes, assuring them that the State Government under his leadership will reciprocate the gesture by continually implementing programmes that have social and economic value to the people.

The chairman of the occasion and former minister of transport, Sen. Abdullahi Idris Umar thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for standing tall towards the actualization of the full oil exploitation in Kolmani of Pindiga Emirate.

He also expressed gratitude to the Emir of Pindiga for deeming it necessary to honour the retired Justice Muazu Pindiga, noting that the mammoth crowd that came to witness the reception is a pointer that the retired legal luminary is a man of the people.

In her goodwill message, former President of the Federal Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa, noted with satisfaction, the performance of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya within short period of his stewardship.

Justice Bulkachuwa also congratulated the retired Justice Muazu Pindiga for successfully exiting the judiciary without blemish and thanked Pindiga Emirate for the honour done to her.

She described Justice Pindiga as an astute jurist whose hard work and dedication to the dispensation of Justice is pragmatic.

The Emir of Pindiga, His Royal Highness, Muhammad Seyoji Ahmed in his address, noted that the seeming imbroglio between Gombe and Bauchi states over the Kolmani oil field will not cause any rift between the two sister states.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for executing numerous projects in Pindiga Emirate and appealed for the construction of an access road to the oil rigs in Kolmani.

He stated that the reception, organised in honor of Justice Muazu was in recognition of his numerous contributions to the growth and development of Pindiga Emirate, the Judiciary and the State at large.

Guest Speaker at the civic reception, Gombe State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barr. Zubair Muhammad Umar described Justice Muazu Pindiga as a distinguished jurist who has shown a rare character in the administration and dispensation of justice to all manner of people irrespective of ethnic, religious or political affiliations.

He said Gombe Judiciary will miss his fire brand contributions towards the growth and development of the judicial sector in particular and Gombe State in general.

The Attorney General praised the decision by Pindiga Emirate to honour the retired jurist with the traditional title of Katukan Pindiga, describing the honour as a right step in the right direction.

Governor Inuwa, was earlier accorded a warm welcome into Pindiga by horse riders and mammoth crowd of supporters.

Gombe sport commission embarked on rehabilitation work of 2 Boreholes worth a One Million Naira.

In its effort to address the lingering water scarcity at the Pantami township Stadium Gombe, the Gombe State Sport Commission has embarked on the rehabilitation of two broken boreholes abandon for the past 6 years.

Speaking at the commencement of work, the Chairman of the Gombe State sport commission Mr. Olanre Larry Daniel Said, ” having observe the water problem and moreso owing to the fact that water is one of the basic creteria for a stadium because of it essentials in drinking, prayers, cleanliness of the environment and watering of the football pitch among others, we deem necessary to embarked on this rehabilitation work”.

He said the commission has acquire two (2) submersible pump which has been a major problem of the Boreholes.

The chairman of the Gombe State sports commission employ the Services of the State water Cooperation who are expert in the field to fixed and service the boreholes for proper usage so that the issue of water will be once and for all.

“Before now, we have been using water tank to supply water which is very in adequate” Olanre noted.

The Commission Chairman who was on hand with members of Staff also appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa for the support in moving the State forward especially in the area of sport development.

He also noted that after the rehabilitation of the two Boreholes, piping of all the stadium would be thoroughly checked to ensure free flow and adequate water supply in the vicinity of the stadium.

Governor Inuwa Mourns Rev. Dr. Simon Ibrahim, Former ECWA Secretary General.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya ( Dan Majen Gombe) has received with sadnes, the news of the demise of former Secretary General of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, Rev. Dr. Simon Ibrahim whose sad event occurred yesterday.

In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa described the late Rev. Dr. Simon Ibrahim as a highly reputable preacher, experienced administrator and resourceful teacher and preacher of the gospel who gave much of his time for the progress and development of the Church, Gombe State and Nigeria.

He described his death as a huge loss, not only to his immediate family or the Tangale community but the state and the nation in general

The Governor, on behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the family, relations and associates of the deceased, the entire people of Billiri Local Government Area as well as the membership of ECWA in which deceased served in various capacities before his death.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Projects: Gombe Assembly Speaker Applauds Governor Inuwa’s Inclusive Governance.

…Hails Award Of Road Project In His Constituency, Signing Of PPP Agreement On State Varsity

The Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo has applauded Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s inclusive governance, describing his leadership style as unique and people-oriented.

The Spaeker made this assertion while briefing news men shortly after State Executive Council approved six road projects across different constituencies in Gombe State, including the 17 KM road that starts from Tashan Magarya in Kumo and passes through Lamba, Zange, Bappah Ibrahima, luggerewo, Jauro Bello, Papa and links with Pindiga Road.

The road as explained by the speaker, was in bad condition and caused untold hardships to the people, especially during rainy season.

“This is the road project that I have been pursuing for quite long and it is heartwarming that His Excellency has granted the approval of its construction”, he said.

Hon. Luggerewo thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for attending to the needs of their constituents, describing all the approved projects as true reflection of people’s demands.

“Let me reiterate at this point that all the approvals given in this very important council meeting are in line with demands of the people from our various constituencies put foward through the representatives and I am glad to have one in my constituency. This is part of the dividends of harmonious working relationship between the executive and the legislature”.

The speaker also commended the signing of memorandum of understanding between Gombe State Government and Lincoln University College of Malaysia, saying that it will contibute immensely towards human capital development especially in his constituency.

“That building has been there lying idle, but now Alhamdulillah it will be put into proper use. Our younger ones are goint to occupy the building for their academic persuit”, he remarked.

Hon Luggerewo pledged continued support of the legislatrors to the Governor.

“We are going to accord His Excellency all the necessary support and cooperation to make sure that he delivers on the mandate of the people”, he assured.

The Speaker also noted that security, education and other critical sectors have all received needed attention from the Governor.

He called on his constituents and all other people in other constituencies who will benefit from the approved projects to reciprocate the good gesture of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya come 2023.

The Gombe State Executive Council, presided over by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the payment of external examination fees for twenty three thousand, six hundred and eighty final year students of secondary schools across the State.

The Commissioner of Education, Dauda Batari Zambuk disclosed this to journalists at the close of the 23rd session of the State Executive Council Meeting held at the EXCO Chamber.

He said the State Executive Council expeditiously granted approval of over four hundred and thirty five million, two hundred and Seventy two thousand, nine hundred naira for the payment of WAEC, NABTEB and NBAIS examination charges.

In the same vein, the Commissioner of Works, Engr. Abubakar Bappah also told journalists that council approved the construction of six roads across the State.

The road projects, which are part of the network 11-100 initiative, included the 17 KM Tashan magarya- Lamba – Zange-Bappah Ibrahima- Luggerewo- Jauro Bello- Papa to link with Pindiga Road in Akko Local Government Area, awarded at the cost of four billion, two hundred and thirty six million, seven hundred and eighty five thousand, five hundred and thirteen naira, fourteen kobo with a completion period of twenty four months.

The 40 KM Tappi-Kalajanga-Bomala-Alagarno-Dinawa-Dundehe-Damba Barde-Abuja/bula-Girgam-Shongo Sarkin Yaki through the Gombe western by pass was equally awarded at the cost of eight billion, five hundred and twenty five million, eighteen thousand, seven hundred and seven naira, eighty one kobo with a completion period of twenty four months.

The Filiya-Gwandum-Keffi-Yaburo-Gurwa-Shakram-Daja to Gundale road was also awarded at the contract sum of five billion, three hundred and ten million, one hundred and seventeen thousand, two hundred and fourteen naira with a completion period of twelve months.

Other roads approved for construction by the State Executive Council include the 10 kilometres Bojude to Dirri, awarded at the cost of two billion, one hundred and ninety six million, four hundred and ninety two thousand, eight hundred and thirty naira eighty eight kobo, the 10 kilometres Nafada link road at the cost of 2.55 billion naira and the 27 kilometres Kuri-Nasarawa lambam-Gelambam-Dasa junction to Tallasse awarded at the cost of eight billion, three hundred and eighty eight million, eight hundred and fifty four thousand, one hundred and fourty one naira, six kobo with a completion period of twenty two months.

The Gombe State Commissioner of works added that the State Executive Council has approved 20 percent mobilization fees for all contractors to mobilize to site.

Equally at the briefing, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo said the State Executive Council approved the procurement of 13 hilux vehicles valued at a contract sum of four hundred and thirty four million, three hundred and forty three thousand naira.

According to the Commissioner, the vehicles will be distributed to all the 11 Local Government Areas of the State to further boost the security of lives and property in the State.

The Commissioner of Information and Culture, Julius Ishaya Lapes who coordinated the press briefing, reaffirmed the commitment and determination of the Inuwa Yahaya- led administration to bequeath a legacy that will bear all the hallmarks of economic viability and social stability.

Investment Certification: Gombe holds two days capacity building Workshop.

A two day capacity building workshop with the theme ” coaching engagement with Gombe State on Investment Certification” has began in Gombe the State capital.

Speaking at the capacity building training Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya said his administration will key into the Nigeria Investment Certification programme of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission NIPC whose primary objective seeks to support the state’s quest to promote, attract and manage investments.

Represented by the Commissioner of Commerce,Trade and Industries Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed, Governor Inuwa Yahaya explained that other benefits of the certification is to improve the capacity of the state to document necessary investment related information that will guide investors to the state.

He said the training will help in signposting investors to states that are prepared to give meaningful support and certication will be the NIPC priority when promoting investments to Nigeria.

He stated that given his administation is poised towards diversifying the economy through the promotion of industralization, trade and Commerce to fight poverty, hunger and unemployment through job creation.

In a remark, the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi said the training of
relevant stakeholders in investment drive is timely and could not have come at a better time when the country is meticulously looking at alternative sources of income generation.

He said the Inuwa Yahaya led administration is focused in repositioning the economic futurnes of the State, particularly in hanrnessing the huge potentials of natural resources which includes; solid mineral, hydrocarbon and Agricultural potentials.

Represented by the Director General Public Service Reforms Yusuf Daudu Kaltungo, the SSG said the State has embarked on the construction of the Muhammadu Buhari industrial Park to help in engage unemployed graduates and non graduates alike.

He express gratitude to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission NIPC for identifying Gombe in the North East as it’s first point of call for its interaction.

The Director General of the Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company Mr. Mauwiya Faruk noted that the two day technical coaching engagement would help the State’s technical team come up with a template that will be used in driving the investment potentials of the Jewel state.

Muawiya said, the program been one of a kind in the North East Region was in line with the Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company’s desire of coming up with innovation aimed at making Gombe State more friendly to potential investors.

The Director Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Shetima Barma Commended the Gombe State Government’s political will towards the issue of development and the zeal to defeat poverty in the State.

Barma said part of the government commitment is engagement that have to do with the citizens well being noting with delight that Gombe state will attain it’s vision and mission of sustaining it’s development goals revolving around critical growth enablers and growth drive for modern economy as expressely captured in the mission and vision statement of development goals DEVAGOM.

The capacity building training incorporates line MDA’s where it delibrated on how to collectively work together to achieve government set goals and objectives.

Gombe To Explore More Areas Of Partnership With Malaysia.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya says Gombe state government will explore more areas of partnership with Malaysia beyond the education line.

The Governor was speaking at a gala, organised in honor of the visiting President of Lincoln University College, Malaysia, Professor Amiya Bhaumik.

He said the coming on board of Lincoln University College in Gombe state through public-private partnership has further opened windows of more investment opportunities between Gombe and Malaysia.

“We are optimistic that coming on board of the Lincoln University Kumo in Gombe State has just opened more opportunities beyond education through PPP”.

“The rich culture and the entertainment you witnessed tonight is just a tip of the iceberg”. Gombe State, like Nigeria, is rich in culture and we are living peacefully and happily despite our diversity “.

” Today we are the number one in the ease of doing business and with our huge potentials in Agriculture and mines, we are open for partnership and investment”.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya used the occasion to commend the Nigerian High Commissioner to Malaysia, Dr Hajara Salim, describing her as a patriotic and committed envoy who demonstrates passion and love for her State and country.

He said Gombe state government looks forward to more areas of partnerships and engagements with Malaysia.

Earlier in his remarks, President of Lincoln University College, Professor Amiya Bhaumik expressed joy for the warm reception accorded him and his team.

He also used the occasion to appreciate the Emir of Akko, His Royal Highness, Muhammad Umar Atiku for conferring on him, the traditional title of Magajin Birnin Akko.

The gala night held at the banquet Hall of Gombe government House, featured cultural performance, musical concerts and comedy by famous artistes.

Be resolute in projecting Governor Inuwa incredible performance, Gombe SSG tells group.

The secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has tasked leaders of the Inuwa 4+4 group on the need to track and publicise the achievement of the APC led administration in the State.

Receiving the leadership of the group whose major mandate is to ensure the actualisation of the second term bid of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in 2023 elections, Professor Njodi assured them of all support to attain their noble objective.

While appreciating them for volunteering to champion the course of Governor Yahaya and his administration, Njodi advised them to take advantage of the media to educate the electorate on the wonderful work of the APC administration.

The SSG who accepted the group’s appointment as Patron also assured them that he will mobilize support from all available quarters to quarantee success.

He urge the group to engage in aggressive membership recruitment given their strength which cut across ward and LGAs across the state.

Professor Ibrahim Njodi said though the achievements of Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administration in few years in office speaks for itself there is the need for Party members and well meaning people in the State to make those achievement public.

The chief scribe of Gombe State noted that opposition being part of the democratic process does not however encourage negative propaganda even when facts are evident for everyone to see as in the case of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya APC led Government.

The state Coordinator of the Inuwa 4+4 group, Garba Yakubu in his address informed the SSG that the group was formed and registered last year with the sole aimed of ensuring the re-election of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for second term to continue with the pace of development in the State.

Garba Yakubu also informed that the group is structured in such a manner that official were drawn from all the 114 electoral wards in the State.

He disclosed that the group has undertaken the tour of all projects being undertaken by the Inuwa Yahaya led government and Commended the Governor for his unprecedented rural transformation.

The Inuwa 4+4 group also presented the SSG with an appointment letter as Patron.

Gombe SSG receives group on solidarity visit for Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s people’s oriented projects, policies.

A group of APC faithfuls from Dukku Local Government Area of the State where earlier today at the office of the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi to pledge their loyalty to Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s led administration.

Addressing the Party faithfuls in his office the Secretary to the Gombe State Government thank them for deeming it necessary to identify with the sound policies and programmes of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

He told the visiting APC supporters that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya remains committed to fulfilling every single campaign promise he made to the people.

“You can see for yourself that the Governor has virtually touched on every sector of the State from health to education security and infrastructural development among other important areas in the State”.

He therefore enjoin them and by extension the people of the State to remain supportive of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration and to ditch the erroneous notion that governance is all about merriment with public resources.

Earlier speaking the leader of the delegation Saidu Shehu Dukku said they were at the Government House to commend Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for people’s oriented projects scattered across the length and breadth of the State.

He said the APC in Dukku is united and strong and therefore assured Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of an easy victory in the Council.

The Commissioner of Science Technology and Innovation Prof. Aishatu Maigari and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political matters Ahmed Bello equally spoke in solidarity with the visit.

They advise the group to remain focus on their mission to continually market the fine policies and programmes of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya which is aim at building a virile and just society.

“Remain resolute to Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administration”, Gombe SSG tell Councillors Forum.

The Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has challenged the The Councillors Forum in the State to be proactive in mitigating the likelihood of some individuals de-camping from the APC.

Professor Njodi gave the challenge when he granted audience to the Gombe State Councillors Forum led by its chairman Yahaya Yusuf.

He said as the first line of defence of the All Progressives Congress APC at the grassroot, it behoves on the Forum to be on the look out for any aggrieved member who may want to ditch the party for another.

“Am really not happy each time i hear that a member of our party have decamped to other party. I tell you if i will have my way i will ensure that no one leaves the APC because we all need each in the party for sweeping victories.

Professor Njodi therefore enjoin the Gombe State Councillors Forum not to relent in contacting higher Government appointees to prevail on any misgivings that could lead to individuals leaving the party.

The Secretary to the Gombe State Government however remarked that those that have ditched the APC in the State do so on their own volition and not on the account that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is not performing.

“As you know and are all aware, no political ward in the State that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has not register his developmental trademark so we enjoin you to up your games in promoting and projecting the political image, ideology and strides of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya”.

Earlier speaking the chairman Gombe State Councillors Forum Yahaya Yusuf said they were at the Government House to pledge their loyalty to the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and to reiterate their commitment towards his leadership.

The Chairman of the Forum however appeal for support to enable the Forum carry out its activities of projecting and promoting the fine political ideology of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

Representative of Councillors from the three Senatorial Districts of the State also spoke at the visit reinforcing the need for all men and women of goodwill to support Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya second term bid. The visit the investiture of the SSG as the Grand Patron of the Forum.
